Adagio's | Rabaul Rd, Georges Hall (Bankstown)

I've got such a sweet tooth! If I could wish for anything, it would probably be having the ability to eat anything and not put on weight as easily as I currently do. Unfortunately, I wasn't created that way, so I need to be selective, making sure that what I eat, is worth the calories!

I love pancakes! You can eat them with anything! I like them nice and fluffy, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. That will definitely satisfy my sweet cravings any day! One cold winter afternoon, my dad and I decided to go out to family favourite cafe restaurant in our local area for coffee. Adiago's is great because it's open later than the other cafe's in the area - staying open until 10pm on week nights.

Because of my dad's recent hospitalisation (involving 2 major surgeries in 2 weeks) mum has him on a beyond healthy diet. Adiago's does fresh fruit juices which is perfect so he chose the Morning Glory ($6) - beetroot, ginger, apple and carrot. I opted for a pot of peppermint tea and one pancake with berry compote, ricotta cheese and vanilla ice-cream. The only annoying thing was the wait for our pancake. We were the only ones in the whole place and it took almost 40mins for our pancake to arrive. But when it did, it was Ah-mah-ZING! The berry compote is slightly tart, but perfectly balances out the sweetness of the ice-cream and with the added flavour from the ricotta, it was just a delicious mouthful every time!

Pot of Peppermint Tea - $4 | I love how BIG this pot of tea is! For $4 it's great value for money! You get like 5-6 cups of tea. I was easily pleased. You could even share it between 2 people :) PS: look at the colour of the juice!! Love it!

Small Pancake with Berry Compote, Ricotta Cheese and Ice Cream - $10 | Pancake is a perfect circle, fluffy and thick - I actually took a bite out of the back and realised that I had forgotten to take a photo. I always do that!

If it wasn't for the long wait, it would've been perfect afternoon tea time! Hopefully they figure out how to serve the food faster. I'd hate to imagine the kinds of waiting time in a full house!

But the food is good and if you're in no rush it's a nice little place for a catch up with friends. The menu is quite extensive - lots to choose from. You'll be able to find something for everyone.
