I just downed 5 choc chip cookies while trying to come up with a first line. Wait, I lie. 6. I'm a little rusty, but after a couple of posts, I should be well into the swing of things.
I've been meaning to get back into blogging but I found being newly married, came with
With the recent renos at Stocklands Wetherill Park, Hubs and I now spend most of our Sunday afternoons exploring the food options on offer. Thai is Hubs' absolute fave, so I know his answer to "What do you feel like eating?" is always "I dunno, Thai?"
Thai Rock explains their menu on their site as "Thai element is our Yin, then the Rock or Stonegrill® is our Yang; a complementary union of forces forming a dynamic offering in which the whole is greater than the parts." Interesting concept.
I thought I would go with Yin and opted for the Laksa with Veg & Tofu ($12.90). Hubs got his usual Thai Fried Rice with Chicken ($15.90) and Prawn Penang Curry ($17.90) and Marinated Dried Beef ($10.90).
Note: The lunch special (10am - 3pm) includes a free drink with selected menu items!
As a HUGE fan of noodles in soup, this didn't disappoint. The broth is SO. GOOD. It's full of flavour and the serving size is generous!
Needing to try everything on the table, I eat some of Hubs' food and wish I had a bigger stomach to fill because it's so delicious.
At dinner, they have live music in the form of a guitarist playings hits across decades. I found myself singing and dancing in my seat - which I'm sure was also fuelled by the tasty food.
The service is prompt and friendly. Theres a floor dining area where you can eat your meal sitting on luxurious ground cushions. It's fun!
This will most likely be our 'Thai' place for a while. Maybe forever!
